ANTI RAGGING COMMITTEE
(Functions and Responsibilities)
Anti Ragging Committee of Chouksey Engineering Colleges was established with the establishment of the institute as per the AICTE directives in the year 2001. Our vision “ZERO TOLERANCE” against ragging. In all places of campus
posters, slogans has been Raised to alert/aware about any act of ragging and create an environment for zero ragging tolerance among the first year students and senior students. Any conduct by any student or students whether by spoken words or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student, indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities by any student or students which causes or likely to cause annoyance, hardship, physical or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in any fresher or any other students will be termed as Ragging.
Duties
- Senior Students were made to submit their on-line undertaking with a hard copy signed by the Students and their parents.
- Senior Staff Members were given the charge as “Anti Ragging Squad” which has helped us to ensure students safety and welfare in the Hostel, Campus and the Surrounding areas.
- Anti Ragging Committee and the squad made sufficient visits to both the boys and girls hostels at any given time.
- Senior students were made AWARE of the legal consequences of ragging and misconduct.
- A separate “EARLY MESS” arrangements were made for the newly joined students in both the Hostels. Separate bus arrangements were made available for the pick and drop of the new comers for attending classes.
- Prior permission from the Hostel Warden has to be taken in case of going out or coming late to the Hostel, and is being entered in the students log book.
- Posters, Rules and regulations of Anti ragging are put up in and around the College area like Notice Board, Departments, Common room, Canteen, Library and Hostels etc. to generate awareness amongst Students on Anti-Ragging.
- Helpline number of central anti-ragging and in-house helpline contact details is shared with students to help them 24*7.
